In the wake of the Exxon pipeline oilspill in Magnolia Arkansas, the threat posed by the Keystone Pipeline should now be too apparent for the President to ignore. In addition to the obvious threat a spill would pose to towns, farms, and wildlife across the US, the construction of the pipeline would result in a "carbon bomb", offsetting any attempts by the administration to fight climate change. What's more, Keystone does nothing to provide energy security for the US-instead beneffitting a foreign company (TransCanada) in providing oil exports to foreign countries, leaving the US to deal with any environmental crisis a spill might cause. Please, President Obama, reject the pipeline now.
