reject the Keystone XL export pipeline permit.

Created by C.G. on January 17, 2013

The President should immediately deny the Keystone XL export pipeline's permit, as 18 of the nation's top climate scientists have recommended.

Scientists warn building the pipeline poses a significant threat to our environment, our climate, that cannot be ignored. And TransCanada's lackluster safety record is cause for fear.

KXL will NOT decrease US dependency on oversea oil; its main function is to transport Canadian oil to the Gulf for export to other countries, like China.

The pipeline’s construction will NOT create many permanent jobs, according to the latest analysis, with estimates around 50.

And KXL's new route still crosses the Ogallala Aquifer. Exposing this huge underground fresh water supply to a potential oil spill jeopardizes our farms, our food sources, our economy.
