Reject the Proposed Merger of Time-Warner and Comcast

We, consumers of cable television or internet products in the United States of America, hereby object to the merger of Time-Warner and Comcast. We believe the two entities already separately have exerted an undue amount of control over the marketplace, leading to exorbitant rates, long waits to speak to customer service representatives by telephone, and difficulty scheduling repairs to hardware within a reasonable time frame. We further believe the barriers to entry of lesser known cable service providers are already great enough without this merger. Finally, we do not feel that a proposed divestment of a small portion of the combined entity's assets would be sufficient to resolve this problem. We ask that the White House do all in its power to prevent this merger from taking place.
