Reject the "Provide for the Common Defense Act" and any attempt to balance the budget with Federal employee pay cuts.

Created by J.M. on December 04, 2013

The bill has come due for our ill-conceived wars in Iraq and Afghanistan. We are all paying the price. However, through sequestration, furloughs, pay freezes, etc. hardworking and dedicated Federal employees continue to pay more than their fair share.
Taking an even bigger bite out of Federal employee pay or benefits is not the answer. Angering and demoralizing Federal workers, driving away young talent, impairing recruitment and retention, and creating a new generation of disgruntled Federal employees already underpaid compared to their private sector counterparts will only make things worse. Reject the House Republicans "Provide for the Common Defense Act" legislation and any attempt to further balance the budget on the backs of Federal employees.
