reject the Trans-Pacific Trade (TPP) Agreement, a treaty designed to protect corporations and not consumers and workers

Created by M.V. on January 20, 2016

The TPP treaty benefits large corporations and not American workers and consumers. The TPP will outsource more jobs to nations with unregulated and hazardous work environments that negatively impact workers worldwide. U.S. sovereignty will be undermined by giving corporations power to challenge states for more profits. The TPP encourages environmental degradation by disregarding EPA regulations. FDA food safety standards will be threatened by negligible imports under TPP. Since TPP supports big pharmaceutical companies, prescription drug prices will increase. Under the TPP, despotic countries that violate human rights will benefit from the U.S. duty free market. The treaty will ruin the American workforce and manufacturing industry at a time when the oil industry no longer sustains jobs.
