In July 2012, 1st Lieutnant Lorance was with his unit in Afghanistan when they were approached by three men on a motorcycle. The men were confirmed to be hostile scout spotters planning to engage his unit. He ordered his troops to engage them. He was tried and convicted for the murder of 2 "hostile scout spotters" in a combat zone. This is because Congress and Obama have changed the ROE to a point that the troops cannot protect themselves. Please sign this petition if you find it in your hearts to give a family back their son who was wrongfully tried and convicted for doing what an officer is supposed to do. Protect and lead his troops. Let us show Congress that the military is not for their political games and that Lieutenant Lorance deserves freedom instead of incarceration. Thank you.
