Release the 27 Iraqi Christian refugees being detained in San Diego

Created by M.G. on August 07, 2015

Twenty-seven Iraqi refugees, belonging to the ancient Chaldean Christian community which is currently experiencing religious persecution and attempted genocide by the Islamic State of Iraq and the Levant (ISIL), have attempted to seek shelter in the United States. Unfortunately, instead of being welcomed as refugees, they were instead detained as illegal aliens and may be deported.

Family members have sought timely answers for why the 27 have been detained for so long, but so far they have been kept in the dark.

We say: Never Again! Remember the tragic voyage of the MS St. Louis during World War II? The United States failed to save the passengers from genocide even when it was capable of doing so. Let's not let America repeat the same mistake a second time.
