We urge President Obama to declassify the contents of redacted pages from the Joint Inquiry into Intelligence Activities Before and After the Terrorist Attacks of September 2001.
Our Constitution resolves that the policies and oversight of our nation shall be facilitated by the consensus of an informed citizenry. The classified status of these pages impedes the right of the People to advance any opinion or determination that might be concluded from findings withheld.
The President has promised before to release this information. Cosponsors of H.Res.14 (formerly H.Res. 428) have also sought transparency in this matter.
We ask the President once more for full and public disclosure of these documents.
