Ecuador has been known to go against the US in times of need. First they gave asylum to Julian Asange in their London based embassy, and now they are reviewing an asylum request from Snowden. I believe if they give asylum to Snowden we should cut our economic ties to them, something so important to a developing country. It is time for them to step up to the game
Everything the NSA did was legal under the 2006 Patriot Act. In a poll of American people, 42% of people (in February 2011) said the Patriot Act was a necessity for catching terrorists; this is compared to 34% who said the Patriot Act was a bad thing. The NSA has been in the public eye for years now, so people have had the chance to stop it.
Cut ties with Ecuador if asylum to Snowden is given.
