Our criminal justice system must be reformed.
Too much emphasis on punishment and not enough on rehabilitation. We are making criminals in prisons instead of reforming individuals. A first step could be to do what President Carter did for Vietnam war draft dodgers and even people who refused to go and chose prison instead.
