It is necessary for the Electoral College and all voters to be aware of any potential conflicts of interest or treasonous behavior that may exist with a possible president. The electors and the voters can hardly make intelligent decisions without all of the information. Transparency has been a goal of this administration as well as a principle of the US government, but without such critical information like what investments a potential president has the Electors, the Media, and the People can hardly vet an individual.
