Ebony Wilkerson was hospitalized and released. Her family called police and reported she was psychotic. She was interviewed by police and let go because she was deemed not a danger to herself or her kids. Now the same police are accusing her of attempted murder. This is the face of mental illness. We must change our processes and stop being reactionary to people who are clearly mentally ill.
