We the people ask the federal government to Propose a new Administration policy:

Release federal prisoners who invested in real estate and were convicted of fraud during/after the housing crisis.

Created by P.V. on September 10, 2016

During the Housing Bubble in the mid-2000's thousands of people were investing in real estate and using no money down no interest loans. These loans were pushed by mortgage brokers and bankers. Now many individual investors are being convicted and imprisoned for fraud. The bankers were the ones writing these bad loans and selling the over rated packages of loans that caused the market collapse. The bankers have escaped all prison time but small business owners have lost everything due to their inability to hire a team of lawyers to present a defense like the bankers. This is an injustice that is being pushed by over-zealous federal prosecutors who want to create some evidence that the crimes have been punished. They are punishing victims instead of the perpetrators.
