I strongly believe that it is the right of the American public to have access to investigations into the behavior of federal officials that have been funded using tax dollars.
Recently Democratic Rep Robert Andrews resigned shortly before the completion of an investigation into allegations that he used campaign money for personal trips to Scotland and Los Angeles in violation of House ethics rules in 2011.
It has been reported online (http://www.northjersey.com/news/244168831_Resignation_means_end_to_House...) that "the investigation will likely stop and its findings will not be released now that he has resigned from Congress."
Since this investigation was conducted using taxpayer funds all information collected for this report should be released to the American public.
