Those incarcerated for only marijuana related charges, or forced to remain on probation for those same charges should have their cases dropped and forgiven.
We, the people, ask that first time- offenders be given a second chance since the amendment 64 passed here in colorado.
It should be the responsibilty of those people who have broken the law to pursue the clearing of charges. Including court time, paperwork, or classes if need be.
This petition is for first-time offenders only, and offenses restricted to Marijuana possession and consumption. The cultivation of cannabis should be considered only if a medical marijuana licence was in possession at the time of arrest.
Let's keep prisons and probation departments busy with the real criminals, save our resources, and tax dollars.
