Thomas Jefferson once said that "An educated citizenry is a vital requisite for our survival as a free people." Withholding the text of the corporately written proposed trade agreement is antithetical to an informed public and erodes public trust in government. Trade agreements should be negotiated openly and fairly and the public should have the opportunity to critique such agreements. We call on the White House to release the full text of the proposed agreement immediately.
