Irwin Schiff was sentenced in 2005, to 13 years in prison for being a tax protester. He is currently 87 years old, has cancer throughout his entire body, is almost blind, weak and underweight, and is regularly taken to the hospital from the prison and chained to his bed with 2 armed guards standing beside him. This is inhumane and a waste of government resources for a man who is at deaths door. As a country, we can show compassion to have Irwin Schiff released to die at home while surrounded by his family.
