Release Mumia Abu Jamal

Created by A.A. on November 21, 2012

We, the undersigned citizens of the United States of America, the Citizens of the world, do hereby appeal and in fact DEMAND the unconditional release of Mumia Abu Jamal.
Abu-Jamal spent the last 30 years on death row and was transferred to General Population in late January 2012. This came after an announcement by District Attorney Seth Williams earlier that month that he would no longer seek his death penalty for killing Philadelphia Police Officer Daniel Faulkner in 1982.
In 2008, a three-judge panel of the US Court of Appeals upheld the murder conviction but ordered a new capital sentencing hearing because the jury was improperly instructed. Subsequently, the United States Supreme Court also allowed his conviction to stand, but ordered the appeals court to to reconsider its decision.
