Release Otto Frederick Warmbier from his 15-year prison and hard labor sentence in North Korea

Created by A.C. on March 23, 2016

Otto Warmbier is a 21-year-old U.S. citizen who on March 16 was sentenced to 15 years of prison and hard labor for attempting to steal a propaganda poster in his hotel in PyongYang, North Korea. This sentence is outrageously severe for such a harmless act, especially considering the conditions of prison labor in North Korea. This manual labor can border on torture, with long hours of extreme labor and a near-starvation diet. Please, let us prevent Otto from enduring 15 years of unwarranted torture and possible death, entrapped in a country that clearly has no sense of justice. As a young man with a bright future, Otto does not deserve such a cruel fate. We urge the immediate release of Otto Warmbier, so that he can return to his family and the United States unharmed.
