The United Nations held hearings on the case of Pastor Abedini with several nations testifying that he must be released. The U.S. opted out of participating in these hearings. After months of pressure on the Administration to get involved, John Kerry finally issued one short statement calling for his release, since then, there has only been silence from the President and administration. Obama has said nothing.
