Oscar López Rivera was sentence to 70 years in prison because of allege ties with Puerto Rico nationalism group, the now defunct " Armed Forces for National Liberation". Although no charges were proved, he was sentenced to 70 years in prison for which he has served 31. From a country that believes in freedom and democracy as its foundations, to keep this man in foreign soil, just for believing in independence is a violation of human rights. We ask for his release so he can return to his country and spend the last remaining years with his family and his beloved land. We believe his imprisonment is illegal and he should be set freed immediately.
