This past Father's Day, President Obama condemned the epidemic of absent fathers in our nation. While there are many problems which contribute to this, one--pornography-- is sweeping across every town in our nation more so than in any past generation. Pornography transforms women and men into objects and makes true love harder to find. Pornography has a variety of victims including the viewer and his or her family and spouse, hurting many marriages.
This petition asks for a statement from the President on this important issue stating that pornography is affecting our culture and is demeaning women far too frequently, that parents and children need to have age-appropriate conversations about pornography and also reminding the youth of this nation of the value of enduring love and marriage.
