release women and children being held in immigration detention.

Created by L.K. on September 20, 2014

As an immigration attorney who was recently providing pro bono services to women and children detained at the "residential facility" located in Artesia, NM, I was absolutely shocked, alarmed and disgusted by the conditions in which they are living.

We DEMAND that President Obama tour the facility and speak to the women detained there about the conditions.

President Obama, shut this facility down. It's inhumane. This is not how America should treat fleeing women and children.

At the very least, these detainees need access to medical care, palatable food, adequate clothing, as well as basic toiletries such as adequate soap, shampoo, toilet paper, deodorant, etc. These are things that these women and children are going without.
