I am a Sallie Mae Borrower. I have been paying back my student loans now for over 8 years. I make 800 dollar a month payments and that is for interest only. My principal balance has not gone down. Since the majority of my loans are private, there are no government programs that can help me. Due to the cost of my student loans, I will never be able to pay them off, buy a house, or start a family. I don't want to miss out on life because I went to college.
I would like to have a law created that will lower the high interest rates and forgive private loans after a 10 year pay back period.
