Religious shunning has caused countless suicides, psychologically "torturing" human beings to re-convert back to the religion in order to reclaim one's right of association with their family members. Article 12 of the Declaration of Human Rights affords "protection" from any interference with one's family. Jehovah's Witnesses, Scientologists & Mormons treat family members as disposable - if they do not comply with all rules of church doctrine, severely destroying thousands of families in our society. Article 18 states: "Everyone has the right to freedom of thought, conscience and religion; this right includes freedom to change his religion or belief", including the right to conversion. Religions that threaten human rights of free association, cause suicide from isolation - is unlawful.
