My petition is to help service members struggling with student loan debt. Although many use the GI bill it does not cover a fraction of the amount needed to attend school. If a veteran wants a job that makes a comfortable living a masters degree or higher is required. Veterns have served their country and deserve a chance to compete at the same level as student who do not serve and come from financially secure families. Schools have money for divesity, sports and academic scholarships. Education should be provided for veterans. The job market is very competitve and many military skills are not easily transferred. Institutions will be receiving a high calibor, well diciplined and matur student ready to actively particpate in the educational experience.
