Remember our Veterans

Congress has proposed certain cuts involving the military. These include cutting facilities used by families, military pay, retirement benefits, and health care benefits. I propose that congress look elsewhere. Veterans and retirees volunteered to serve their country and risked their lives so that this government could exist. Congress has an excellent retirement program and receives automatic pay increases based on the Cost of Living Index why should the military not have the same benefits. Perhaps Congress should consider cutting their own benefits before cutting from people who are out in the field risking their lives. It seems that those individuals in congress spend too much time arguing and not enough working perhaps their pay should reflect.
