Remember Victims, not Monsters. Request Major Media to do the Same.

Created by W.B. on January 21, 2013

Every time a mass killing occurs in America, we hear and see more about the perpetrators than of those truly suffering. Whether or not publicity is what these individuals crave, they should not be the story; the story should be about the victims and families hurting, communities trying to heal and related issues (mental illness). We petition President Obama to make a formal, national, and public request for media outlets like CNN, Fox News, MSNBC and other major news networks to forgo releasing images and names of those that commit these acts of violence. Instead, ask them to concentrate on the Victims, Families, and Communities, to discuss issues of Mental Illness and Gun Topics without mentioning the person responsible. Those individuals are not the ones who should be remembered.
