Remind Congress that they are public servants by lowering their pay to that of the average US Soldier.

Created by M.B. on August 12, 2014

The congress of the United States of America was created of the people, by the people, and for the people. In observance of this long-gone way of thinking, Congress should cut their own pay to the same as that of the average American Soldier.

America's troops are the bravest and most intelligent in the world. We rely on these people to defend our liberties; liberties that congress takes away every day- one by one. Therefore, because soldiers serve just as great a role in keeping America the way it is and ought to be, congressman should be held to the same standards of duty, honor, and loyalty to country that are instilled in the hearts of every serviceman and woman.

Congress needs to be reminded of their duty to the country, and of their status as "Public Servants".
