Remind members of Congress they represent their own respective constituents and lobbyists, not "the American People".

Created by P.K. on January 02, 2013

It really bugs me when a member of Congress uses the phrase "The American People" when they are engaged by the media or the public. I think it would be more appropriate to use the phrase "my constituents", or "my favorite lobbying group", or "my favorite TV or Radio Personality", or "my secret blind trust confidant" or "my family" instead. The only person who represents "The American People" is the President or those he or she entrusts with will of the people.
