As we move forward towards a new paradigm of technological achievement, now more than ever; creativity, innovation, and imagination are crucial to our development of unique and effective solutions to the problems that we face in the 21st century. Having gone through compulsory education I can personally say I have seen many imaginations and talents wasted and even completely extinguished. I believe we need to encourage unique expression, talent, and curiosity in the most effective way possible. Instead of having the student serve the school the school should instead serve the student. Humanity does not need 40 million young adults that can all do geometry, instead we need 40 million unique minds that all offer something new and innovative in areas such as art, science, and philosophy.
