The Center for Medical Cannabis Research ( CMCR) did systematic research over the last decade, and in 2010 stated, "we now have reasonable evidence that cannabis is a promising treatment in selected pain syndromes caused by injury or diseases of the nervous system, ..."
In 1999 the Institute of Medicine stated, "...adverse effects are within range of effects tolerated for other medications". In 1990, the PNAS stated, "...no reports of fatal OD"
