Suppressors currently have a $200 dollar tax imposed by the National Firearms Act of 1934. This tax was designed to make the purchase of suppressors cost prohibitive. We petition to remove this tax.
Suppressors are hearing protection devices. They simply reduce the noise of discharging a firearm to levels safe for the ear.
