The current IRC for EV tax credit phases out for a manufacturer’s vehicles when at least 200,000 qualifying vehicles have been sold for use in the United States.
Currently most EV are only available at a high costs but the market is trending toward more affordable cars due to technological advancements that will take shape in the next 5 year. Unfortunately these credits will be phased out by that time for most manufactures which takes away the incentives for the mass market.
I propose that the cap be removed or greatly increased so that everyone in this great countries can have the opportunity to take advantage of this incentive. This way Americans can do their part to embrace environmental change and sustainability.
