We have a 3 tiered justice system, one for Wallstreet, one for powerful politicians and a third for regular people. For example, torture is a serious crime by US law and by international law but Dick Cheney can even go on speaking tours and boasting how he ordered torture. We prosecuted torture harshly in Germany and Japan after WWII but now torture is accepted by the government unless they prosecute EVERYBODY involved in it. In another example Wallstreet banks intentionally and knowingly cheated people for billions of dollars and not a single person went to prison. The president even nominated some of those responsible to cabinet positions. We have the best democracy money can buy.
