Remove the $60,000.00 wage limit on which Medicare taxes are charged. Medicare taxes should be charged on all wages.

Remove the wage cap of $60,000.00 for Medicare taxes to replace the current "additional medicare tax". Currently, only those making $60,000.00 or less pay the usual 1.45% Medicare tax, and there is an additional .9% charged to those making up to $250,000.00. This is yet another example of taxing the middle class and poor too high, and the rich too low. There is no justification for the rich to not pay into the Medicare system. This is the first step for reforming the Medicare system, but more needs to be done. If we just remove the wage cap, all wages will be subject to Medicare tax and the rich will pay their fair share too. This will help fund this underfunded program, and help correct our failing Federal budget.
