Remove all Confederate symbols from all Federal Lands, National Parks, and Federal Buildings.

Created by M.T. on June 24, 2015

We the People humbly petition our government to remove all symbols of the Confederacy from all federal public lands, national parks, monuments, and buildings. Various states are stepping up in this moment of realization to the profound injustices these symbolize. The federal government should join in relegating these items to where they belong. In the past. In a museum, where they can be viewed in the context of what they really are. Symbols of racism, murder, torture, kidnapping, and treason. Symbols of a dark chapter in U.S. history. Symbols that are antithetical to the very founding ideals of this nation. Life, Liberty, and the Pursuit of Happiness.
