As of Jan 1, 2014, the federal government will terminate any and all existing federal health insurance plans. Federal employees and retirees (including all members of Congress, the Supreme Court, and the Executive branch) will have the option to enroll in the Affordable Care Act (aka Obamacare) insurance plan that best suits their needs. Federal subsidies towards an ACA plan will not exceed 7% of a federal employee's salary or annual pension.
