Remove all fission weapons from the US Nuclear Arsenal by 2025.

Created by D.B. on March 04, 2013

Fission weapons are outdated compared to thermonuclear hydrogen ordinance. They do not add to the nation's security and their existence encourages other nations to pursue nuclear programs of their own. Moreover, the continued existence of fission devices creates an unnecessary risk of unsecured nuclear material falling into terrorist's or a rogue-state's hands. By eliminating our own arsenal of these devices, we encourage other countries to enter into a dialogue that might similarly limit the production and existence of these weapons at a global scale, ultimately reducing the risk of a nuclear attack on ourselves or our allies.
