We, the undersigned, petition the Bureau of Engraving and Printing of the of the United States Treasury to remove the statement consisting of, "In God We Trust" from all future currency created in the United States of America.
It is our firm belief that it is unconstitutional to force ones thoughts of God, or a god upon another American. We have the right to religious freedom, as well as the right of freedom from religion. For those who are not believers in God, or a god should not have to feel as though it is a wrong belief due to the symbolism on our money. Nor should they be made to feel out of place due to the forcing of the idea of a god onto them.
