Remove all religion and all traces of religion from the U.S. government.

This purpose of this petition is to remove religion and religious elements from the U.S. government and from performing any role or function in the creation of policy or laws. Religion and its institutions, or the people acting in the interest of their religion, have no place in determining the best interest of the people of the United States. Religion does not serve all people, it merely serves the people whom practice the particular system of beliefs that they associate with their deity. This is a nation for the people, not for a people, nor for a people's religious doctrines.
Furthermore, this petition moves to remove "Under God" from all government issued materials and to examine any law or policy that is created or has been created should there be any evidence of a religion therein.
