By removing all slaveowners from our coinage and currency we would take another small step along the road to building a more perfect union. If we cannot yet get to reparations, although eventually we must, we can at least begin a process of truth and reconciliation regarding our much "celebrated" founders who bought and kept slaves their entire lives.
