The US taxpayer unjustly shoulders the defense burden for wealthy nations including Japan and the European Union. The US spends 44% of the world's total defense (war) budget. At a time when our nation is deeply in debt, taxpayers can no longer subsidize the defense of nations who either do not need a US military presence or can pay for their own defense. Bring our military service members home, decommission them and cut the US military budge in half!
