Politicians continue to spend money we do not have and prefer to put off our fiscal problem with the budget deficit. Our politicians do not deserve a raise. Our county has had to cut back, sacrifice and go without during our economic trouble yet our politicians, out of touch with Americans, believe that their efforts earns them a yearly raise.
If anything they should lead by example and take a pay cut.
Reverse the last salary increase and freeze all politicians salaries and perks until such a time as our politicians can pass a balanced budget.
When politicians can show that they actually deserve their salaries, then they can ask the people if they deserve a raise.
