remove Andrew Jackson from the $20.

Created by C.K. on November 13, 2015

Andrew Jackson, formerly decorated war hero, did commit genocide in the United States 177 years ago. Because of his policy of the Indian Removal Act, over 4,000 Native Americans died horrific deaths. The Trail of Tears, the 116 day death march, resulted in severe hunger, disease, and exhaustion for thousands of Cherokees and other tribes. Andrew Jackson ignored his duty as head of the Executive Branch to enforce the law that the state of Georgia had no right to take Native American land. Because of these inevitable facts, Andrew Jackson has no place on our great country's currency.
