Andrew Jackson, America's seventh president, was responsible for one of the most shameful events that now stains America's history. By passing the Indian Removal Act of 1830, he sentenced thousands of Native Americans to death along the Trail of Tears. A president who enforced such an immoral, barbaric act undeniably deserves to be removed from the $20 bill. Americans should not have to carry around the face of a man who brought on disgrace upon our nation.
