The Treasury Department has announced that it intends to redesign the $10 bill and substitute a portrait of a famous American woman for Alexander Hamilton, one of the founding fathers.
We should all be for honoring the women who have made our country great, but not on the $10. There is a much better candidate for replacement.
Andrew Jackson was a terrible person. He was a slave owner, and he made his fortune on their labor. He is the president responsible for the Indian Removal Act, which resulted in the forcible relocation of native americans from their homeland and caused thousands to die on the Trail of Tears.
Andrew Jackson also didn't even support the existence of paper money! So why is he on the $20 bill? Don't replace Hamilton, replace Jackson!
