Remove Andrew Jackson from the $20 bill

Created by S.E. on November 12, 2015

The appearance of American currency is a symbol and representing factor of the United States. The person on the currency should also represent the country. How well does Andrew Jackson represent America?
If we want to portray America to be the land of freedom and equality, Andrew Jackson is not a proper icon of these qualities. Even though he was deemed a "great" American leader, he had poor morals and questionable values for a leader of a country that preaches liberty.
Andrew Jackson was a vicious slave owner, practiced nepotism, and avidly participated in gun duels. He encouraged the Indian Removal Act, which in turn led to the Trail of Tears, an event that caused the death of thousands of Native Americans.
Does Andrew Jackson deserve to be our representation of America and the economy?
