Remove Andrew Jackson From the Twenty Dollar Bill.

Created by J.W. on January 29, 2013

Andrew Jackson was a terrible person and should be removed from the face of the twenty dollar bill. Jackson was responsible for certain atrocities such as the "Indian Removal Act of 1830" (also known at the "Trail of Tears") forcefully removing Native Americans from their homes and taking them to Indian Territory (modern Oklahoma). This act caused as many as 4000 Natives to die. Before his presidency, Jackson commanded massacres of Natives and Runaway Slaves during his military career. The United States should not have a war criminal on its currency. American history has a large number of notable individuals who would be better suited for this honor.
