Remove Andrew Jackson from the twenty dollar bill.

We, the students at Tecumseh Middle School, believe that such a disgraceful person should not be honored on the twenty dollar bill. As a country, we have a reputation to uphold; Jackson's actions disgraced our reputation. Jackson strongly advocated for the Indian Removal Act, which contributed to thousands of Native Americans dying on the Trail of Tears. Jackson's cruelty extended to his slaves as well. He ordered the delivery of anti-slavery pamphlets to be stopped, violating the first amendment, and offered a reward to any man that delivered three hundred lashes to his runaway slave, just to set an example. We do not believe Jackson should be honored on our American currency; therefore please consider supporting our petition.
